Recap: Networking With a Twist

Our September meeting kicked off the year with high energy.  We all met at Back Bay Social Club with wonderful food and atmosphere.  TeamBonding brought us together with a new program Team Mixologist.  We were able to come together as teams to compete in tasks that had us “count the quarters”, drive the “Cement truck”, and make drinks for many more happy hours.  With any ISES New England challenge, the competition was fierce but friendly.  Thank you TeamBonding for a fun new way for us to network with our members and guests.  You will all be able to see the fun (below) thanks to Jack Brotman, Generation Cinemastories who took pictures and video of the night.  Also, a big thank you to Tris Speaker from Historical Entertainments and all the baseball knowledge he passed along.  Who knew that the fans at Fenway Park were just as loud and energized back in 1952?  Lastly, thank you to Gateway Productions for helping us spread the word of ISES with their sound and AV.  As I always say, we wouldn’t be were we are today with out the support of our sponsors – thank you all!  We look forward to seeing you all on October 18 at Sea Crest Beach Hotel in Falmouth, MA for our first Cape Cod meeting!! Recap: Get in the (Networking) Game!

By: Marie Caci, CMP, CPCE, CSEP With the view of America’s most beloved ballpark in the back window, ISES New England gathered in May for an evening filled of networking at Jerry Remy’s Sports Bar & Grill. It was all about Baseball this night. Baseball memorabilia, centerpieces, pictures, popcorn and the Sox game on the TVs filled the venue with a fun, relaxed setting. Several stations of delicious traditional ballpark food surrounded ISES New England as members and guests chatted amongst industry colleagues and friends. And several new connections were made! During the meeting, we learned of the exciting spring ISES New England has planned. We heard about the May Membership Drive to the Boston-New York chapter challenge, the upcoming Heart and Soul Award Ceremony at the Annual meeting on June 21st at the Commandant’s House in Charlestown, and the MERIT and SEARCH scholarship available to all members to attend EventWorld, August 4-6, 2011 in St Louis.
